Technology as a Tool for Learning

Technology plays an integral role in our middle school program.  St. Joe’s has a one-to-one laptop program, where each middle school student has a dedicated Apple MacBook for use at school.  Through this program, students learn advanced technology skills and have expanded educational opportunities.  The laptops are fully integrated into the classroom, teaching and homework.  As with our elementary students, middle school students are instructed on the responsible use and application of technology.

We believe the tools of technology support all areas of education.  Students become discerning evaluators of information as they effectively access, analyze and utilize data. By using technology as a tool for learning, our students develop strong word processing, multimedia, video, presentation and creative skills.
