Service

Understanding and responding to the Church’s social justice teachings is an important part of each student’s spiritual development. Students participate in both grade level and all-school service projects throughout the year.

Past Grade Level Service Projects

• Kindergarten:  Pumpkin carving and delivering to home-bound parishioners, Valentines for seniors, 100th day food drive
• First Grade:  Ornaments for seniors
• Second Grade: Tie blankets for shelters, bake pies for Cherokee Tavern's Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas caroling to seniors
• Third Grade:  Popcorn sale to raise funds for Guatemala
• Fourth Grade: Senior penpals
• Fifth Grade:  Hat/mitten collection
• Middle School (Sixth - Eighth):  Student council organizes service activties including:
  • Thanksgiving food drive
  • Cana Dinner
  • Military oversees care packages
  • May baskets to parishioners
  • Lilies to parishioners
  • St. Nicholas candy canes
  • Guatemala fundraiser
  • Christmas greetings to 7:30am Mass participatns

• October:  Layette collection
• November:  Food drive

  • Middle School choir performances at area schools, elder-care facilities
  • Hat/mitten collection

  • Cookies to parish seniors
• March/April:
  • Jelly bean sale, mystery egg sale and lollipop sale to support Guatemala

  • Soup collection for Neighbors, Inc.
  • Toiletries to support Little Sisters of the Poor
