St. Joseph’s Preschool offers well-rounded, developmentally-appropriate early childhood programs based on the age of your child on September 1st. All toilet-trained 3- to 5-year-olds are welcome to attend St. Joseph’s Preschool regardless of religious affiliation. Our Preschool classes operate in conjunction with the St. Joseph’s School calendar and school hours.
Must be 3 on or before September 1st
The Terrific 3s program allows young children to have independent experiences in a warm and loving classroom setting. The children are exposed to basic concepts and prayer to promote growth, development and a love of learning.
The children enjoy small and large group learning opportunities, as well as play experiences with peers in a place where they feel loved and safe.
Our Terrific 3s move on to further years of growing in faith, academics and play in either our PreKindergarten Fours or our PreKindergarten Four/Fives classes.
2 days/week
Tuesdays & Thursdays
8:30- 11:15 a.m.
Must be 4 on or before September 1st
The PreK 4s program assists the four-year-old in developing a deeper understanding and awareness of concepts – alphabet sounds and letters, numerals, shapes, patterning, fine motor skills, prayer and more – all in a nurturing environment.
Our classrooms are full of activities and interest centers that engage the mind and encourage development. Our PreK 4s also have the added opportunity to visit the St. Joseph’s School specialists in art, music, P.E., library and band.
At the end of the year, these children can continue on to another year of preschool (PreK 4/5s) or begin Kindergarten.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday
8:30 - 11:15 a.m.
Recommended to be 4 1/2 on or before September 1st
The PreK 4/5s program is designed with the older four- and/or younger five-year-old in mind. This class is for those children who might need an extra challenge or another year of learning before moving on to Kindergarten.
Like the PreK 4s class, PreK 4/5s gears towards Kindergarten readiness, allowing for deeper thematic study, and more interaction and socialization with teachers and peers.
Children learn readiness concepts of alphabet sounds and letters, numerals, shapes, patterning, fine and large motor skills, prayer and more. They visit the St. Joseph’s School specialists in art, music, P.E., library and band, and also engage in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd once a week.
5 days/week

Extend your child’s fun and learning opportunities with our lunch bunch program. Children bring a bag lunch to school and enjoy extra time playing with friends out on the playground and inside the classroom. Additional fees apply. See the Preschool Tuition page for more information.
Our 3s and 4s pair together for a great day of learning and fun. This program offers a more academic track for kindergarten readiness. Students will visit the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium, Specialist classes in Art, Music, Spanish, and Phy Ed, spend time outdoors, work on small and large motor activities to prepare students for kindergarten and beyond.
