Forming joyful disciples of Jesus Christ
A Message from Principal Rickbeil
Thank you for an incredible year, as today we conclude a 2024-25 school year that was filled with many highlights. We celebrated nine wonderful virtues of the month with our middle school students leading the way at our monthly virtue assemblies. We honored our local first responders on September 11th and our grandparents with our Grandparents Day activities. We celebrated 38 school Masses together, including one in Spanish, and prepared many of our 2nd graders for First Communion and First Reconciliation. In athletics, we re-started our hockey team, competed for several CAA championships, and ended the year taking home two CAA championships in softball. We were inspired by the witness of Fr. Nate Wills at our annual Gala and by your generosity to our event. We took field trips as close as Mud Lake and Dodge Nature Center and as far away as Duluth and Green Bay. We held our first ever Ignatius Book Fair and celebrated the arts with phenomenal concerts and four performances of Cinderella. We even had the opportunity to see the new pope, Leo XIV, announced during the school day! In this last week, we proudly graduated 25 8th graders, wishing them all the best in high school.
I hope that within this year, you saw us joyfully form disciples of Jesus Christ through academic excellence and cultivating lives of virtue. Please know that it was a blessing for all of us to serve you this year, and we love working with your kids. Have a blessed summer, and we will see you in August!
Best Wishes to Father Kyle
Today we learned that Father Kyle will be the school chaplain at Unity High School next year in Burnsville. He will also serve at the Cathedral in downtown Saint Paul, joining rector Fr. Joseph Johnson and his seminary classmate Fr. Ryan Glaser. He is excited by these two new opportunities, but wants it to be known that he will deeply miss working here at Saint Joseph’s. We were so blessed by his service the last two years, and wish him well and offer him our prayers in his new assignment.
