A Message from Principal Rickbeil
In this week’s video, Mr. Rickbeil is on stage to promote the middle school’s final performance of Cinderella tonight at 6:30, and shares how participating in musical theater is truly one of the biggest “team sports” our students will take part in. Thank you to Mrs. Zumwalde, Mrs. Broberg, Mrs. Haire, Mrs. Lamusga, Ms. Evans, and all of our volunteers for helping our middle school students participate in such an amazing show!
Spring Music Concert Schedule for Students in K-8 - Updated Schedule
We are excited for our upcoming K-8 Spring Music Concerts. Originally our concerts were scheduled K-3 on May 8th and 4-8 on May 15th. Due to performance adjustments, we had to make a change to the schedule. The major adjustment affects our 3rd graders with minor adjustments to other grades. We apologize for the change, and we do hope this isn’t too much of an inconvenience to our students and families. Please see the updated schedules below.
May 8th at 6:45pm: K– 2 Spring Concert. Students should plan to arrive at the Great Room at 6:30pm.
May 15th at 6:45pm: 3-5 Spring Concert. Students should plan to arrive at the Great Room at 6:30pm.
May 15th at 7:30pm: 6-8 Spring Concert. Students should plan to arrive at the Great Room at 7:10pm.
Spring Band Concert - May 9th
Our spring band concert will be on Friday, May 9th at 1pm and 4pm in the gym. We look forward to hearing this great performance.
Middle School Musical Cinderella - Final Performance Tonight!
If you were not able to see Thursday's production, you won’t want to miss our Final show tonight at 6:30pm! St. Joseph’s Middle School proudly presents Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. We are incredibly proud of our talented student cast and crew! Thank you to the many volunteers and staff that are working with our students to make this performance possible!

Congratulations to our St. Joseph’s School Swim Team on their outstanding year! We are so excited that our boys took 1st place in finals on Tuesday evening and our girls did an outstanding job on Wednesday evening. Way to go! Thank you to our tremendous coaching team and volunteers for your dedication and time that you give to our swimmers! Go Jaguars!
School Mass Sunday - April 13
Please join us Sunday, April 13 for the 9:00 Mass for School Mass Sunday. We invite students to wear their school uniforms and find Father Luke, Mr. Rickbeil or Mrs. Lamusga for a ticket for a spirit wear pass (requires 2 tickets- 1 per mass) or a piece of candy. St. Joseph’s School Summer Camp - Registration Opening Next Week!
We are excited to open registrations for the Summer Programs at St. Joe's next week. We have a variety of options for our students throughout the summer. Please watch for those options.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) Registration Now Open!
June 16 to 20 | 9 to 11:30am
Join us as we journey through the liturgical year! Registration can be found at churchofstjoseph.org/vbs. Space will be limited. Middle School NET Retreat - Wednesday, April 16th
Middle School NET Retreat: Calling all 6th-12th graders. You are invited to the NET Retreat. This retreat will be themed on the Eucharist--a great way to enter into Holy Week! Lenton Service Project - Operation Rice Bowl - Final Collection April
During Lent, we will have been participating in Catholic Relief Services Operation Rice Bowl. The alms given will be used to support CRS’s work and initiatives throughout the world. 25 percent of donations also stay in our archdiocese to support those facing hunger and poverty in our local community. We thank your students and families for bringing in donations during Lent.
Easter Break
As a reminder there will be no school due to Easter break April 18 & 21. School will resume on Tuesday, April 22.
Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus
We are reminded how blessed we are to have the opportunity to have the Handmaids with us at St. Joseph’s School. As they celebrate 15 years since their establishment, they would like to take this opportunity to share a bit more about the life of the Handmaids and how they serve. St. Joseph’s School Book Fair - Volunteers Needed!
Mrs. Chamberlain is happy to share that we will be holding a book fair this spring. We will be working with Ignatius Books this year. Ignatius Book prides itself on carefully selecting books to ensure they are safe, inspiring and filled with faith and virtue. Book Fair Dates are May 16th -20th. A portion of the book sales will benefit the library to add new books. Look for more information coming soon as well as a signup genius for volunteer help.

School Advisory Council (SAC): New Member Application
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a group intended to advise and consult with school administration on matters relevant to St. Joseph's Catholic School. SAC is currently accepting applications for new members, with terms to begin at the start of the 2025-26 school year. To apply, please click here.
SAC members are expected to serve for three years and sit on one of the five sub-committees: Finance & Development, Marketing & Enrollment, Policy, Strategic Planning, or Athletics & Extracurriculars. Relevant experience within one of these categories is preferred, but not required. Both sub-committees and SAC meet once a month and consistent attendance is requested. Applications will be reviewed by the existing SAC Chair, Tom Yenni, along with Principal Rickbeil. Final recommendations to be approved by Fr. Marquard. The School Advisory Council and the Home & School Association will be hosting a Happy Hour at Jameson's Irish Bar on Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. for anyone interested in applying for SAC or joining H&S for the 2025-26 school year. Home & School Association
Our Home & School Association works hard to help us coordinate volunteers. Below you will find 2 SUG to help coordinate volunteers for recess helpers and lunchroom helpers! Thank you all so much for coordinating this for our school!
Middle School Youth Group
Calling all 6th – 8th graders! St. Joseph Middle School Youth Group meets twice a month for ALIVE Nights – at time for games, fellowship, formation, and prayer. EMMAUS
The Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus will be hosting a monthly Emmaus event at St. Joseph. It will include a time of recreation, a holy hour (with childcare), and a shared meal and you will still be home by bedtime! Please mark the dates, invite others to come along and join us!

SIPPING WITH THE SAINTS
