A Message from Principal Rickbeil
Thank you to everyone for a very successful Gala last Saturday evening at the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel. It was an inspirational night for everyone in attendance, and was a fitting celebration of the last 75 years of our school. I especially want to thank Gala chair Katie Sullivan and the Gala committee for all of the planning and hard work that went into making last Saturday night a success.
Instead of sharing a new video this week, I would like to invite all families to view this 75th anniversary video that was shared last Saturday night. I would especially like to thank our newly-hired Admissions, Marketing, and Communications Coordinator Hazel Jordan for putting together this video in two short weeks since joining our team! Have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy the spring weather!
First Holy Communion
Please keep our second grade students in your prayers as they will receive their First Holy Communion Sunday, April 14th and April 21st. This Sunday, April 14th will be a busy day at church as we also have the Knights of Columbus hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast after all Sunday Masses. Please plan your arrival and parking accordingly.
Confirmation
St. Joseph’s School eighth grade students will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation on Monday, April 15th at the St. Paul Cathedral. Please pray for our eighth grade students as they receive this important sacrament.
All School Hold Today
Today towards the end of the school day we exercised an "all school hold" due to an injury where we had called paramedics to assist. Putting our building in a "Hold" status means that students & teachers are in their classrooms with the doors closed and keeping our hallways clear. This helps us to be able to best manage a situation while allowing students to continue working in their classrooms.
Severe Weather Awareness Drill
This past Thursday, our PreK-8 students and staff participated in the statewide tornado drill. This was great practice for our students and staff and a good reminder of the season we are in. Our students did a wonderful job of moving to the lowest floor of our building quickly and quietly.
