ST. JOSEPH’S SCHOOL PARENT LETTER

Administrative Team Update
 

Dear St. Joseph’s School Parents,

We would like to thank you for attending your child’s Parent Teacher Conferences this week. During conferences, teachers provided parents with an update on the academic progress and social development of their children.  We thank our teachers for  planning and preparing for the conferences.  The end of the second Trimester is Friday, March 4.  Parents will receive their child’s report card electronically on Friday, March 11.

No School February 18-21
School will not be in session for students and staff on February 18 and February 21 in observance of Presidents Day.  Enjoy the extended weekend.  School resumes on Tuesday, February 22.

St. Joseph’s School Gala  Registration Closes TODAY!
The Gala is St. Joseph’s School primary fundraiser of the year.  It is also a great evening to enjoy the company of other parents, alumni and friends of the school.  If you have not already purchased your tickets (available through February 18th) please click here.  For those who might be interested in volunteering for the evening, and not attending as a registered guest, please click here to learn more.

Jaguar Raffle Ticket Challenge- All Raffle Tickets Must be Returned February 23
Mr. Wesely announced a Jaguar Challenge to students on Wednesday.  Students had an opportunity to request additional raffle tickets to sell over break. Many students requested tickets and those were sent with the students on Wednesday.  All raffle tickets - sold and unsold must be returned to the school office by Wednesday, February 23. 

Financial Aid & Aim Higher Scholarship Deadlines - March 1 for Grades Kindergarten - 8
If you are interested in applying for Financial Assistance for the 2022-2023 school year, please log into your TADS account and begin that process now.  All Financial Assistance Applications are to be completed online through TADS.  Financial aid applications do need to be completed each year to be considered.   If you have any questions, please contact our school office or contact TADS at 612-548-3320.

Science Fair
The St. Joseph's School Middle School Science Fair will be held on Friday, February 25.  During the Fair, our middle school students will present their projects to a panel of judges as well as share their projects with our students and their families.  Some of our students may have the opportunity to participate in the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence’s BIG BANG STEM Fair scheduled for April 9 at Cretin-Derham Hall High School.  Good luck and congratulations to all of our students!

Principal Search Committee
The Search Committee will be meeting next Wednesday, February 22, for an Orientation and to begin the process of applicant reviews.  A date for the Committee to meet with faculty and staff is tentatively scheduled as well.  Projected dates for interviews have already been established for the first week of March.  We are hopeful that this important hire can be finalized in a timely manner, as additional improvement efforts and action steps continue to move forward in the months ahead.

St. Joseph’s School - Middle School Variety Show March 10-11
We are excited to announce our first ever Middle School Variety Show!   Thank you Mrs. Bowe for organizing this for our students.

A Note from The School Nurse- Updated Covid -19 Mitigation & Quarantine Policy
Please click here to view St. Joseph’s School Updated Quarantine Policy as of January 25, 2022.  The most important practice we can continue is to please keep your child home each day if they are sick.   Rapid tests are available for students upon request ammilosch@stjosephwsp.org.

Our current positive caseload for this week is 0, affecting the following grades: Pk (0), K (0), 1(0), 2(0), 3(0), 4(0), 5(0), 6(0), 7(0), 8(0) and 0 staff members.
