Dear St. Joseph’s School Parents,
June 3rd, we celebrated the completion of a successful year at St. Joseph’s School. As we reflect upon this school year, we again observed what a blessed school we have! We have witnessed a school community; faculty, parents, and members of the parish community working together to provide positive learning experiences for our students. Our students learned that they are loved by God, and loved by their teachers, parents and classmates. Our students’ accomplishments are a result of the interest, concern, prayers, and hard work of everyone.
Parents, we realize that you have a choice when deciding where your children will be educated for their preschool, elementary, and middle school years. Thank you for choosing to have your children attend St.
Joseph’s School. Thank you for supporting your children and our staff as we learn together during the school year. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us and for being an important part of our St. Joseph’s School community.
At this time, I would like to recognize and thank the St. Joseph’s School faculty who will not be returning next year. Retirements, maternity leaves, family circumstances and other employment opportunities are all part of these natural transitions. They have served our school community faithfully and will be missed. We wish them well.
Greg Wesely - Principal
Vicki Young - Kindergarten
Sarah Schneck - First Grade
Justine Reisman - Fourth Grade
Julie Schmid - Fourth Grade
Anna Petersen - MS Communication Skills
Rebecca Wratkowski - MS Science

In conclusion, as you and your family begin a break from the school routines, I hope and pray that you have a wonderful summer. We look forward to seeing you in the fall as we begin the 2022-23 school year.

Special Meet & Greet for Middle School Parents - June 23
All parents of our Middle School students are invited to personally meet our new Principal Ginger Vance and Middle School Director, Audrey Wenner on Thursday, June 23rd at 6:30pm in the Great Room; apologies for the short notice. Come learn more about our two new school leaders, staff additions, and their initial vision and perspectives on our middle school program. We will look for additional opportunities for similar gatherings (K-8) in the weeks ahead.
Congratulations St. Joseph’s School Class of 2022
Congratulations to our 8th grade students who were honored at the Commencement Mass and ceremony on June 1st. What an honor it has been to have all of you with us at St. Joseph’s School. Many blessings to you as you enter into your high school years. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you! Please come back and see us….and remember - Always a Jaguar!
A Day to Remember
Thursday, June 2 was a day to remember for our students. All grade levels participated in special events. Our K-5 students participated in the annual Fitness Fun Day with activities and relay games keeping them extremely busy. Mr. Reyes and Ms. Wood, along with Mrs. Jenny Reeves and Leslie Miller with the support of many parent volunteers, did a tremendous job organizing and facilitating the games and engaging the students. The All American Hot Dog Lunch was also a hit . . . thank you Chef Dan Chojnacki for being our grill-meister. Our grade 6-7 students traveled to Base Camp participating in opportunities for team building, rock climbing, and archery. And finally, our eighth grade students followed their graduation by spending the day at Valley Fair. It was a great way to celebrate the end of the school year!
Staff Updates
As noted in our recent job postings and renewed vision at St. Joseph’s: Our full commitment to academic excellence is not merely compatible with our school’s Catholic identity; it is demanded by that very mission. We share in the great duty of providing an education that is both faithfully Catholic and academically first-rate.
We are pleased to announce another fine addition to our Middle School staff - Jacob Hornecker will be returning to us as our new Religion Teacher/Specialist. Jacob knows many of the students already as he served our school in a variety of roles during the 2020-21 school year. Over the past year, he has been teaching at Nativity School in Bloomington, in addition to leading their Faith Formation program, and was excited to learn of this opportunity!
After heroically serving as the longest ‘long-term’ substitute role at St. Joseph School (since the Fall of 2019), we are thrilled that Suzie Kocourek has agreed to come onto our staff as a regular fifth grade teacher. Thank you for your incredible dedication over these past three years; we are so grateful that she will continue with us.
We are very fortunate that almost every hire is complete for the 2022-23 school year - besides primarily the 2nd grade teacher position. Considering the immense number of open positions within both private and public schools at this time, we are in a wonderful place going into next year.
Report Cards
Third trimester report cards will be emailed to our school families Monday, June 6. Upon receipt of this information, please contact the school office if you have any questions. We congratulate and thank our students for doing their best and using the gifts and talents God has given while at school this year.

We are so very grateful!

St. Joseph’s School Summer Office Hours
As the summer months begin, please note that our school office hours may vary based upon any events and the schedules of the office staff and administration. If you need anything, it is advised that you call the school office; 651-457-8550 or email Lisa; liwrobel@stjosephwsp.org.
Tuition Agreements
Most agreements for the 2022-23 school year have been completed (set up) by our parents… thank you! For those who have not been able to yet, thank you in advance for finishing this final step of enrollment as soon as possible. It literally takes just a few minutes, and eliminates the extra administrative effort on our end to follow-up and ensure it is finalized before students can be assigned to a class and begin the new school year.
2022-2023 Yearbooks
We need to let you know that the 2022-2023 St. Joseph’s School Yearbook will not be delivered prior to the end of this school year. Families will be notified when the yearbook arrives and receive directions for picking up their yearbook at the school.
