Preschool and Kindergarten Information Night: Thursday, January 16 at 6 PM
If you know anyone that is interested in attending Saint Joseph's School for preschool or kindergarten, we would love to have you spread the word about our school! Our next preschool and kindergarten information night takes place next Thursday, January 16 from 6:00-7:00 PM, and will include a presentation from Mr. Rickbeil and an opportunity to tour the kindergarten and preschool. Feel free to bring your children, as they will have the chance to see the classrooms and play. The event will start in the library at 6 PM. Families should park in the back packing lot and enter in the back door. Please contact the school office if you have any questions.
No School Monday January 20 & 21st
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. there will be no school on Monday, January 20th. There will be no school on Tuesday, January 21st due to Staff Professional Development.
No District Transportation Wednesday, January 22
There will be no district transportation on Wednesday, January 22 as the district is not in session. Parent transportation to and from school is required on this day. Hot lunch will be provided.
Catholic Schools Week Open House - Sunday, January 26
Saint Joseph's School will be open for our Catholic Schools Week Open House on Sunday, January 26 following the 9 AM and 11 AM Masses. Stay after Mass and visit our school to see a presentation from Mr. Rickbeil, meet many of our teachers, take a tour, and hear from our families about why they love our school. This open house is happening concurrently with the pancake breakfast, so feel free to stay for breakfast as well! Please contact the school office if you have any questions.
Beyond the Birds and the Bees with Dr. Julia Sadusky
On Friday, January 17 at 7 PM we are happy to host Dr. Julia Sadusky, a clinical psychologist who specializes in the intersection of religious faith and sexuality and gender, to speak about navigating conversations around sexuality and gender with kids and teens. She will aim to help answer questions like: When is too early to bring up sexuality? And when is too late? When kids ask their parents about sex, which is a natural curiosity, how can they respond with compassion and reduce shame? How should parents respond when their kids hear about LGBTQ experiences in the media and have questions? This evening is for parents of children of all ages. For more information,
Save the Date - Catholic Schools Week & Carnival
Please save the date for Catholic Schools Week beginning Sunday, January 26th - January 31st.. Our annual school Carnival will be held on Friday, January 31st 12pm-2:45pm. *Important information about Carnival: Preschool - 1st grade students are required to be accompanied by an adult for the Carnival. Parents are asked to arrive at 11:50am to pick up their Prek - 1st grade students. Permission slips will go home with these students next week and are to be returned by Monday, January, 27th.

Used Uniforms Needed!
We need your old uniforms! Please consider dropping off any uniforms or Spirit Wear your children have grown out of. We are especially in need of red polos, small jumpers and small pants/shorts, and middle school girls' shirts in decent condition. A bin for donations is always available at the top of the main school door stairway (before the buzzer), open during normal office hours. You can also send (bagged) items to school with your child to drop in the bin or at the office. Thanks so much for your help!
Used Uniform Sale & Spirit Wear Sale- Sunday, January 26!
We will be having an added Used Uniform Sale & Spirit Wear Sale during our Open House on Sunday, January 26, 10 am-12:30 pm in our gym.
Please park in the back school parking lot and enter through the Gymnasium Doors #11. The gym is located up the stairs. Cash, check, and credit card will all be accepted.

School Mass Sunday – January 26th
Please join us Sunday, January 26th for all Masses for School Mass Sunday as this is Catholic Schools Week! We invite students to wear their school uniforms and find Father Luke, Mr. Rickbeil or Mrs. Lamusga for a ticket for a spirit wear pass (requires 2 tickets- 1 per mass) or a piece of candy. We are looking for students to read the readings, a family to bring up the gifts, If you would like to sign up to help on Sunday, January 26 or any future school Mass Sundays, please sign up at this Sign Up Genius.
Pancake Breakfast Rescheduled for February 2nd
Due to a schedule conflict, the Catholic Schools Week Pancake Breakfast to benefit our 8th grade Pilgrimage has moved to Sunday, February 2nd. The breakfast will follow all three Masses on that day.
Save the Date - Father Daughter Dance
The Father Daughter Dance will be the evening of Saturday, February 8th. Please click here to register. This is a very fun and memorable event hosted by our parish and school. This is also a very busy event and last year we hit capacity, so it is very important to get registered. Please consider the volunteer opportunities for the event. Volunteers are needed to help with setting up the day of, serving and cleaning during the dance and cleaning up after, any amount of time you can give is greatly appreciated!

Middle School Youth Group
Calling all 6th – 8th graders! St. Joseph Middle School Youth Group meets twice a month for ALIVE Nights – at time for games, fellowship, formation, and prayer.
