Mrs. Beth Bowe
Starting Monday, April 22nd through the remainder of the school year, our Music Teacher, Mrs. Beth Bowe will be on a leave of absence. Mrs. Bowe is taking some time away to be with her family. Mrs. Hnasko will be in to long term sub for Mrs. Bowe while she is away.
Lockdown Drill
Next Tuesday, we will hold a lockdown drill during the school day. These drills are a chance for our students and teachers to practice safety and be prepared in the event that we would have to issue a lockdown in our school building.
First Holy Communion
Please keep our second grade students in your prayers as they will receive their First Holy Communion Sunday, April 21st. Congratulations to our second graders that made their Communion last Sunday, April 14th.
Confirmation
Congratulations to our eighth grade students for receiving the sacrament of Confirmation this past Monday at the St. Paul Cathedral.
Big Bang Science Fair
Congratulations to our students who participated in the Big Bang Science Fair this past weekend, Lots of Joyful Jaguar Pride: we had seven students compete at CSCOE's Diocesan Big Bang Science Fair: Layla R.S. (8), Anna F. (8), Carly B. (8), Mia G. (6), Zoe C. (6), Grace M. (6), and Anyra S. (6). Anna F. took 5th place overall with her project testing the effect of materials (paper, plastic and styrofoam plates) on decomposition time and Layla R.S. won the St. Sebastian Award (Patron Saint of Sports) with her projects testing the effects of specific exercises on jump height.
St. Joseph’s Middle School Musical - Seussical Jr. April 18-19
Our Middle School Musical has been a tremendous hit! Our final show is this evening at 6:30pm. We are so incredibly proud of our talents students, the amazing directors Mrs. Bowe, Mrs. Kilduff, Ms. Petrangelo and Mrs. Zumwalde, costume creators Mrs. Harrington and Mrs. Werner, props & set construction Mrs. Lamusga, Mr. Dudkiewicz, Mr. Fitzgerald and Miss Anna Fitzgerald, Makeup Mrs. Zumwalde, Cast and Crew Party Mrs. Brekke and the many volunteers and staff that made this so special - THANK YOU!
St. Joseph’s School Art Show - By the Sea - April 18-21
Mrs. Lamusga and our very talented Prek-8 students have been working to put together an amazing Art Show for families to view. The Art show will be held in our Great Room April 18-21. We invite guests to view our Art show Friday, April 19th following the Musical. Saturday, April 20th & Sunday, April 21st following all Masses.
Thank you Mrs. Lamusga for all of your work. It takes an incredible amount of preparation and planning to make this event happen. We are so grateful! Thank you to the many volunteers that make this all possible!
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is overflowing! Please stop in and look for lost items. There are many jackets, uniform sweatshirts, gym bags and more! These items will be organized and put on tables down by the library and cafeteria, so please come and claim your childs things. Items not claimed by April 25th will be donated. Thank you!
St. Joseph’s School Summer Camp - Registration Closing Soon!
We are excited to open registrations for the Summer Programs at St. Joe's. We have a variety of options for our students throughout the summer. School Advisory Council (SAC): New Member Application
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a group intended to advise and consult with school administration on matters relevant to St. Joseph's Catholic School. SAC is currently accepting applications for new members, with terms to begin at the start of the 2024-25 school year. To apply, please click here.
SAC members are expected to serve for three years and sit on one of the four sub-committees: Finance & Development, Marketing & Enrollment, Policy and Strategic Planning. Relevant experience within one of these categories is preferred, but not required. Both sub-committees and SAC meet once a month and consistent attendance is requested. Applications will be reviewed by the existing SAC Chair, Chris Kroon, along with Principal Rickbeil. Final recommendations to be approved by Fr. Marquard. The St. Joseph’s School Yearbook Preorder is now open. Yearbooks are pre- ordered online and will be arriving and distributed to students the last week of school.
