Penny Wars for the Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus
Next week, we will be inviting our students to bring in their loose change to help the Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus by participating in our penny war! During this week-long competition, students can bring in pennies (1 point) or dollar bills (100 points for $1, 1000 points for $10, etc.) to help their class win the competition. They can also bring in nickels (-5 points), dimes (-10 points), or quarters (-25 points) to opposing jars in an attempt to sabotage other grades. The entire competition is done in good fun, and all goes to a good cause to help the Handmaids purchase a new convent in Saint Paul.
