A Message from Principal Rickbeil

Parent Transportation Required - November 6 & 7
ISD 197 is not in session November 6 & 7. Therefore parent transportation to and from school is required. We will have district food service provided. Please allow for additional time during drop off and pick up.
November 8 – Veterans Day Concert 10am & 6:30pm and Grandparent Mass 8:45am
We invite all of our Grandparents to join us for our Grandparent Mass Celebration on November 8th at 8:45am. Students are welcome to sit with their Grandparents at Mass, so please help to coordinate that with your student/grandparents. We invite all of our Grandparents to stay for our Veterans Day Concert in the Church following Mass. Students in Grades 3-5 will perform at 10am in the church.
Grades 3-5 will also perform November 8th at 6:30pm in the church.
Afternoon Pick Up - Safety Concerns
Each day we have a team of students supervised by a staff member adjusting our cones and opening up the back parking lot for cars to begin parking for after school dismissal. Parents, it is very important that you are mindful of our students' safety. Please do not enter the parking lot until our students have cleared the parking lot and are back to the school doors.
Art Club Grades 3-5
Students in grades 3-5 are invited to sign up for the After School Art Club with Mrs. Lamusga. This session of the After School Art Club will be held on Tuesday's, November 14th - December 19th (6 weeks) from 3:10pm - 4:30pm. The cost is $65 per child. Please click here to register your child. Food Drive - November 13-17
St. Joseph’s Middle School House Council is sponsoring a canned goods / non perishable food collection to support the work of Neighbors, Inc. Our collection will be Monday, November 13 - Friday, November 17. Please consider helping people in need of food in our area by donating food items during the collection. Thank you for your generosity. Middle School students will be out collecting during morning drop off.
St. Joseph’s School Basketball Practices
Tentatively practices will start the week of 11/13 as games are starting the week of 11/27. Please watch for an email from your coach with practice information.
Swim Team
St. Joseph’s School Swim Team Registration will be going out next week. Our swim team is open to students in grades K-8. Swim Team practice will be held primarily Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The Season will run January-March. Please watch for more information next week.
Trunk or Treat - Thank you!
WOW! What a great turn out and outstanding success!!! Thank you to our Home & School Association and the many parents who participated and donated to make this event such a success! Thank you students for helping to make this such a fun event for all of us!
St. Joseph’s School Ofrenda Display
Thank you for the many beautiful pictures and items that have been provided for our Ofrenda, it is beautiful. Thank you Mrs. Lamusga and Ms. Petrangelo for coordinating this for our community.
School Advisory Council
The St. Joseph's School Advisory Council meets monthly to discuss topics relevant to our school including policy, strategic planning, finance, marketing/enrollment and athletics. We hold space during each meeting for a Parent Forum during which parents who have a concern or interest relevant to SAC are invited to join. If you have a topic you'd like to present to SAC, please contact us at sac@stjosephwsp.org. Our next meeting will be on Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
St. Joe's Give Day: Update
Thank you to everyone, again, for helping make last week's St. Joe's Give Day such a success! Our current total stands at $65,000 with donations still coming in. As a reward for reaching our goal of $60,000, students will get the chance to SLIME either Mr. Rickbeil or Father Luke later this month, which will be determined by an election. We'd especially like to thank all of the St. Joe's alumni who donated and congratulate the class of '98 for winning the Alumni Challenge! Donors from that class will each receive their very own St. Joe's Jets t-shirt. Didn't win, but still want a vintage tee? A limited number of Jets t-shirts will be available in our next Spirit Wear pre-sale. Please watch your emails for more information.
