No School Monday January 24 - Students Return Tuesday, January 25 - No District Bussing
There will be no school for students on January 24. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 25. There will be no District Bus Transportation on Tuesday, parent transportation is required. There will however be hot lunch available for students on Tuesday.
School Raffle - 2021 Ford Escape AWD $31,940 MSRP!
Our Annual Raffle is in full swing! Please encourage your child to meet their goal of $200. If your child needs additional tickets sent home, please email Lisa Wrobel liwrobel@stjosephwsp.org. If parents are able to help sell tickets after Mass on weekends, please sign up here; students (in full uniform) that assist their parents at weekend Mass sales will receive an out of uniform pass. Thank you to our benefactor, volunteers and to our families for helping to make this a tremendous success for our school. 100% of all proceeds support the school!
Catholic Schools Week January 30 - February 5
We are very excited to celebrate Catholic Schools week at the end of this month. St. Joseph’s School Gala
The St. Joseph School Gala is scheduled for Friday, February 25th where Ed and Suzie Kocourek will be honored with the Spirit of St. Joseph award. Look for exciting updates and invitations on this important event next week.
Principal Hiring Update
As noted last week, the posting for a new principal has been made public both locally and nationally. See the full job prospectus. Applications are being accepted through February 18th. We invite you to regularly pray as a family for this important hire. Search Committee information is forthcoming.
February Calendar Adjustment

Mitten and Hat Collection is Underway!
The fifth grade students are sponsoring their annual mittens, hats, gloves, and scarves collection for the Hats and Mittens of Minnesota. The items may be brought to school between Tuesday, January 24 and Friday, February 4, 2022. Students may place the hats and mittens in the baskets and boxes across from the school office. Thank you so much for your participation in this special work of mercy.

A Note from The School Nurse- Updated Covid -19 Mitigation & Quarantine Policy
Beginning Tuesday, January 25 St. Joseph’s School will be utilizing our updated mitigation quarantine policy.

The most important practice we can continue is to please keep kids home each day if they are sick. Rapid tests are available for students upon request ammilosch@stjosephwsp.org.
Our current positive caseload for this week is 7, effecting the following grades: Pk (2), K (1), 1(1), 2(0), 3(0), 4(0), 5(0), 6(0), 7(2), 8(1), etc. In addition, 1 positive case within our teaching staff.
