The last week of school prior to our Spring Break has been very busy. A number of special events took place that allowed our students to share their gifts and talents. We are also so thankful for the warmer spring-like weather that arrived with the first day of Spring. We are all looking forward to a wonderful spring break.
The week began with celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph, the patron saint of our parish and school. We thank the many dads, grandfathers, uncles, family friends and students (300+) who attended our Donuts with Dads breakfast before school on Tuesday. We thank many of our guests for joining us for Mass as well. St. Joseph, pray for us!
Today, Fr. Wratkowski lead us in praying the Stations of the Cross. In addition to the stations, there was Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a short period of Eucharistic Adoration, and Benediction included with our prayer. We thank the family members who were able to attend and pray with us!
A St. Joseph’s School tradition continues . . . Biography Fair. Our 6
th grade students did a wonderful job hosting their annual Biography Fair today. Everyone enjoyed learning about so many interesting people, their gifts and talents, and their accomplishments. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. The students even obtained autographs from the different people. Congratulations to Mr. Schultz, Mrs. Bruce and their students on a job well done!
No School - Spring Break Spring Break 2019 is here! Everyone is looking forward to a break from the routines of school. St. Joseph’s School will be on Spring Break from Monday, March 25 through Friday, March 29. School will resume on Monday, April 1. Please enjoy your time with your family and friends. We wish safe travels to all families who are planning to be out of town. Mr. Wesely loves to receive postcards, pictures, and messages from our students and families when they are on their adventures.
Uniform Policy According to our uniform policy, students may begin wearing shorts on April 1
st. Please use good judgment when deciding to wear shorts as we can still get some cold days in April. Remember that belts are to be worn with pants and shorts and socks must be visible above the top of shoes.

Middle School Play – “Annie Jr.” – Well Done! Congratulations to Mrs. Bowe and the cast and crew of this year’s Middle School musical “Annie, Jr”. We are all very proud of the middle school students and their accomplishments. The performances were a tremendous success! It was wonderful to see the many parish members, families, alumni, and friends that attended these performances. Many thanks to all the parents who assisted with practices, costumes, staging, make-up, rehearsals, tickets, etc. Your support has been outstanding and is appreciated by all!
Mass and Breakfast On Wednesdays during Lent, St. Joseph’s School families are invited to attend the parish’s morning Mass at 7:30 a.m. The dates are April 3, and 10. After Mass, the students (parents may accompany their child/children) will go to the Great Room for supervision prior to school (8:05-8:30 a.m.). For any family interested, a light breakfast will be available for students for a nominal charge ($2.00) payable each morning. Students will be dismissed to their classrooms at 8:30 a.m. to begin their school day. We look forward to praying together with members of the parish at morning Mass.
Rosary – Monday, April 1 Our students and faculty will continue their Lenten journey of praying, fasting and giving alms as we return to school after Spring Break. We will pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary on Monday, April 1 at 2:50 p.m. in the Church. Parents and family members are invited to attend and pray with us.
Donuts with Dads - Feast of St. Joseph Celebration – Thank you! Thank you to all of you who joined us for The Feast of St. Joseph, Donuts with Dads Celebration! Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who helped to make this event so special.
Spring Music Concert – Grades 3-5 The Spring Music Concert for grades 3-5 is set for Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 pm in the gym. We know there are many sport’s games and practices this time of the year, but hope, out of respect for our teachers and classmates, you will make this once a year event a priority. That same evening, we will also be sponsoring our annual Night of the Arts.
Night of the Arts! Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 25
th for Night of the Arts! This is a night to celebrate the St. Joseph’s School Fine Arts program; featuring our students’ talent and creativity through music and arts. The evening will include a presentation of art projects from our entire student-body along with a spring concert featuring our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. In addition, we will also be hosting a family dinner as a way to meet new St. Joe’s families and get reacquainted with familiar faces. Dinner will be served in the parish’s Great Room. St. Joe's STEM Fair – April 4, 2019 St. Joseph’s School is holding a STEM Fair on Thursday, April 4, 2019 in the parish’s Great Room. Students participating in the STEM Fair are working hard on their projects. Projects will be judged in the afternoon. Students will view the projects at the end of the school day. Public display and viewing of the projects will be from 3:45-5;00 p.m. Winners of the St. Joe's STEM Fair will be able to compete in the CSCOE Big Bang STEM Fair on April 6, 2019 at Totino Grace High School. Students, family, and friends are invited to visit the Fair.
School Mass – Friday, April 5 Please join us for our school Mass on Friday, April 5 at 9:00am in the church. School families, friends, and members of the parish are always invited to pray with our students and faculty.
CAA Scholarship Opportunity Each year, the CAA awards six $500 scholarships to current 6th or 7th graders to be awarded at their grade school for the following academic year. The deadline to submit applications is Saturday, April 20, 2019. Award winners will be announced in early May. The link to the application can be found on the CAA website,

Grandparents and Special Friends Day – Save the Date We will be honoring Grandparents and Special Friends at St. Joseph’s School on Thursday, May 2.
This wonderful event will begin at 9:00am at our School Mass including a blessing for the grandparents and special friends. Following Mass, guests will have an opportunity to visit the school. There will be a special gathering in the Great Room including snacks and refreshments. We would like to send out invitations to our Grandparents and Special Friends inviting them to join us. Please
