February 4-8

Math
We are working hard on our multiplication with 2 and 3 digit numbers. Please continue to practice at home.  Students will have a multiplication quiz next Friday  morning.  

Reading
Our next story is a chapter from the book Ramona Quimby, Age 8.  We will review how to use a thesaurus and use inferences to describe the qualities of a character. In grammar, we will review verbs and verb tenses (past, present, and future tense.) 

Spelling Words
nurse, work, shirt, hurt, first, word, serve, curly, dirt, third, worry, turn, stir, firm, her, girl, hamburger, perfect

Religion
We will finish our chapter on the different parts of the Mass. 

Social Studies
Students will have a map quiz next Thursday. They are bringing home a map to study. We will review in class next week. 

Catholic Schools Week/Spirit Week/Fan Appreciation Week 

• Students who wear their uniform to Mass this weekend will receive an out of uniform pass. Please send me a note letting me know that they did wear their uniform to Mass. 
• Spirit Week/Fan Appreciation Week—Flyers were sent home with a list of days for dress-up and schedules for basketball games.
• If students are going to the games, please send me a note so that I know where they are going. Thank you! 
• Carnival is Friday, Feb. 1st.  The ticket order form is on the Friday folder. Prepaid tickets will be given to the students on Friday.
